Welcome to Whitestones
We are so insignificant compared to the size of the known universe. But, we were significant enough for the Creator of the Universe to visit us.

Nobody is immune to suffering.
It depends on what has happened in your life that made/makes you suffer.

Money problems? Gambling? Alcohol? Greedy-ness?
Not being careful with your money could result in money problems.

How about your weight?
Do you eat too much?
Tend to eat when you're bored? depressed? (i have this problem personally)

Losing a friend?
Hurtful words?

How about losing a home?
Getting thrown out?
Nowhere to turn?

Suffering can be lead by one of the two things...
•Personal sin or failure
•Things not of our control (drunk driver, or tornado).

It's not just us who suffer
Romans 8:20,21For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also wil be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Everything gets sick, or fades away.
Grass turns brown, trees develope disease, animals grow old and frail...
Everything here suffers.

Romans 8:23
We also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly awaiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body."

Just because you're a Christan, does not mean you are free from suffering.
The reason for the book of Job was because it is the best example in the Bible for this article.
Satan complained that Job had it easy, that God was favoring him, so God took everything away from Job...
But in the end, Job found a deeper understanding, a greater sense of God. Job didn't want his earthly things, but instead, a better relationship with God.

So what should we do when we suffer?
Romans 8:26
The Spirit also helps in our weakness. For we do not know what we should for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intersession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Jesus also was in agony at one point in His life on earth. He died on the cross for our sins.

God suffers with us.
